| First American Passes MISMO Compliance Tests for Flood Response |

CoreLogic Flood Services has become the first company to be certified as "flood response compliant" for version 2.3.2 of the MISMO flood data standards. MISMO, the Mortgage Information Standards Maintenance Organization, recently developed a series of third-party tests to verify companies' compliance with the standards. CoreLogic implemented the new standards in May and completed the certification process this month. According to CoreLogic's interface manager Beth Martel, who also chairs the MISMO Flood Work Group, the standards are designed to streamline the ordering and delivery of flood zone determinations by promoting industry-wide uniformity in data definitions. Beth says that when CoreLogic customers submit a flood zone determination order, they are assured of receiving a fully MISMO-compliant response that can be easily read and accepted. "MISMO compliance maximizes the compatibility of technology between partners, making it easier for users of different platforms to transfer data seamlessly. Being MISMO compliant means that our XML protocols have been validated and that all data fields are properly returned." Beth advises lenders and insurers to look for the MISMO MXCompliant trademark on products and services from their vendors. Only companies that have successfully passed the test and demonstrated compliance may display the trademark, which will appear soon on our website and elsewhere. |
