FEMA recently posted an announcement on their website extending the use of the current edition of the Standard Flood Hazard Determination Form (the “Form”) beyond the October 31, 2008 expiration date. A revised Form is pending approval, however, the current Form has been approved for continued use through the grace period indicated in the announcement. Use of the revised Form will be mandatory once the grace period has elapsed. During the interim, both the current and revised (once available) versions will be considered acceptable for regulatory purposes.
